Shrouded in myth and legend this powerful plant is used in many ways. To bring love, fertility, to bring money and luck. To have a mandrake in ones house was to protect the home from evil spirits and demons. But getting this root and plant is no easy task. They don’t like to be uprooted. When they were they would scream, a scream that could make a person go deaf or kill them. Often dogs were used to get the root. Sometimes they would draw three magical circles to help keep the screams at bay and draw out magic from them. They are often used in place of poppets and dolls.
“Mandragora” is a beautiful word. Sounds like a kaiju.
